Support of family livestock farming
Togo, Plateaux region, Villages close to Notsé
Guillaume and Philippe work for Pierson Export and Interepco, respectively, two SMEs that are at the origins of SEED Foundation. During their business trips they had the opportunity to visit the family farming project and share with us their impressions.
A project based on the family
“I visited this project three times. The domestic scale of this project is particularly attractive and it makes it very easy to apprehend. The involvement and reliability of the ESF Togo team resulted in an excellent contact with the beneficiaries.
We can conclude on the success of this project with realistic beneficiaries that are aware of the required efforts to succeed. Families are also very proud to show their results which make the whole action particularly gratifying for SEED Foundation and its contributors.”
– Philippe, Responsible for the Export Department, Interepco
Great satisfaction from villagers
“The concept of “Who receives … gives” which is the backbone of this project is very interesting and intuitive. It is clever process that encourages exchange and mutual assistance among the beneficiary families.
Everything is “local”, be it the animals or building materials for the livestock’s shelters. Moreover, the animals are fed with fodder which is abundant in the area. This project seems to have satisfied a vast majority of the villagers. According to ESF Togo team, this project has improved living conditions of the beneficiaries even though living conditions remain difficult.”
