Testimony of Joseph, coordinator on the project of Afrique en Vie

Who

Joseph, coordinator

Project

Introducing ducks in rice fields

Location

Senegal – Casamance, Ziguinchor and Bignona

” My name is Joseph, since June I have been coordinating the agroecology project in the rice fields by introducing ducks. This project involves 6 families in the three departments of Casamance. My role is to go to ensure a follow up with beneficiaries, to monitor progress and to list needs if there are any.
There is also Léontine who coordinates the meetings and trainings in Ziguinchor and the Regional Union of Women Cooperators of Ziguinchor which manages the marketing of ducks.
Each of us receives 90,000 FCFA to implement our activities, namely: buy the ducks, feed them, care for them, buy the breeding equipment, and also remunerate the cooperatives of plowing and transplanting. “
